Budget and Finance
The Guilford County Partnership for Children receives most of its funding from the State of North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education. With Smart Start money, Board, staff, and community partners develop a comprehensive plan to assure that all children will enter school healthy, safe, and ready to succeed. To carry out the plan, the Partnership provides grants to other nonprofit and governmental organizations to address unmet needs of children (ages 0-5) and their families. NCPre-K money also helps achieve that goal by providing high quality pre-school classes to four-year-old children who are at risk of not succeeding in kindergarten. Private contributions supplement and enhance the State funding.
